Dimensions of Wellness
Self-care and wellness means different things to each individual. There are generally 7 or 8 recognized “dimensions” that, when you are working toward being healthy and balanced in each area, create wellness.
The 8 dimension model, adopted by entities like SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), emphasize that mental and physical health are linked together.
