A warm welcome to two new employees on the Division of Business Services – Property Control team: Connie Jump and Jill Coburn. Both Connie and Jill started their new positions as Accountant III on August 15, 2022.
Announcement messages from Cha Ying Lor, Assistant Director of Property Control:
Connie has over 20 years of public and private accounting experience and 10 years of teaching. She brings to UW–Madison her experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns for small construction and manufacturing businesses as well as non-profit housing organizations. Most recently at Reedsburg Area High School, Connie taught various business related courses such as accounting, personal finance, and business/personal law to high school students. A notable accomplishment for Connie, while teaching at Reedsburg, was starting the Future Business Leaders of America program and taking her team to nationals during the three years she was in charge of the program. Connie received her accounting degree from Indiana University.
Jill brings a diverse and expansive accounting and finance background working in both private and public industries. Her prior work experiences in the private industries include preparing financial reports, forecasting, budgeting, and managing system implementations. Her most recent experience was working at the Carbone Cancer Center at UW–Madison as a clinical trials accountant overseeing the management and reporting of federal and industry sponsored clinical research. Jill earned her Masters of Business Administration degree from UW–Madison.
