Sue Statz joins Risk Management

Risk Management is very pleased to announce and welcome Sue Statz, who is our new Risk Management Specialist. Her first day with the department was November 14. Sue is joining us from UW Health Risk Management where she served as a Risk Management Specialist for 14 years. While at UW Health, she acquired extensive experience in claims management, driver authorization approvals, liability coverage verifications and insurance coverage renewals, to name a few. Creating process improvements is something Sue enjoys most in her work. In her new role, Sue’s responsibilities will include claims administration, administration of the driver authorization process, assisting in risk investigations and supporting Risk Management office operations. Both Sue and her husband Scott enjoy sailing on Lake Mendota in the summer and snowmobiling or cross skiing during the winter in northern Wisconsin. In July, you will find them both at the Oshkosh EAA Seaplane Base where they have volunteered for over 25 years. Please join me in welcoming Sue to Business Services and UW—Madison!
