Committee membership drive May 1-31, 2023

Throughout the month of May 2023, the Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity (EID) Committee and the Business Services Community Committee (BSCC) will be conducting a membership drive. We are very excited to welcome new members to both committees. Some things to know:
  • Anyone can join either committee. We recommend that staff have at least six month’s experience working in the division to first settle into their unit and role.
  • We ask that interested individuals discuss committee membership with their supervisor.
  • The May 2023 membership drive is just a concentrated way for us to organize our efforts. We welcome new members throughout the entire year! So if now isn’t a good time for you, maybe in six months? A year?
  • Anyone indicating an interest in becoming a committee member in May will most likely be onboarded to the committee of their choice in late July/early August 2023.

When the membership drive launches May 1, 2023, you will receive detailed information about becoming a committee member (the goals and activities of each committee, membership benefits, how to volunteer for a committee, etc.). Watch for this information in emails, The Monthly Minute, paper flyers posted in work units, intranet homepage banner, etc. We hope you will consider serving on one of the committees. It is an opportunity to contribute to the division be the best workplace it can be.
