Dave Whooley joins Scientific & Research team as Procurement Specialist
I’m happy to announce Purchasing Services has a new Procurement Specialist team member who started with us on Monday January 29. Dave Whooley joins us after working in his most recent position within Purchasing at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene, and previously with Levy Restaurants and the Athletics Department.
Dave joins our Scientific & Research team led by Assistant Director Hartley Murray and will report to Carla Parker.

Mikalya Bennett and Debra Day join SWAP as Inventory Control Coordinators
Verona Operations MDS/SWAP is excited to have welcomed two new Inventory Control Coordinators to our SWAP team since the beginning of 2024. Mikayla Bennett started on 1/2/2024 and comes to us from Kelly-Moss Road and Race (a specialized automotive care shop and race team) where she served as the Tire Manager, responsible for all race car tires, wheels, and other related items. Debra Day transferred to our operation from the UW Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) on 1/16/2024. Her previous position within CALS was as an Animal Care Technician II at the Dairy Barn.
Both have quickly integrated into our Verona Operations SWAP team and report to SWAP Program Manager Matt Thies.
