FRAS Welcomes James Vandenberg

I am pleased to announce that James Vandenberg is joining our Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Systems (FRAS) team as an Accountant II.  James’ first day is Monday, January 6. In his role, James’ primary responsibilities will include reconciling and recording miscellaneous gifts received directly from donors, assisting campus with in kind gift processing and recording them in SFS, assisting campus with department and project funding string inquiries and requests, assisting with journal entry processing, and preparing various monthly and annual financial reports.

James joins us from the Department of Integrative Biology in the College of Letters & Science where he worked for over four years. His position included managing many departmental responsibilities related to travel and expense reimbursement, p-card activity, and purchasing needs and approvals. He also reconciled department financial accounts and prepared cost projections and financial statements for department members and faculty. James earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investment & Banking at UW–Madison. James’ work experience gained and his interest in expanding his knowledge of UW policies and procedures position him well to succeed here in FRAS.

Please join me in welcoming James to FRAS and the Division of Business Services! We look forward to introducing him to our campus financial community over the coming months.
