2023 Lunch and Learn: Pride Month with the GSCC

June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month! In honor of Pride Month, the Division of Business Services’ Equity, Inclusion and Diversity (EID) Committee is partnering with the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center (GSCC) to offer a virtual lunch and learn on the history of the GSCC at UW–Madison, the current role of the GSCC at UW, and strategies for promoting a more inclusive workspace/work environment. Event is June 15, noon (12 p.m.) to 1 p.m. held in Teams. See your email for an invite (contact an EID team member if you did not get an invite). Katherine Charek Briggs, Assistant Director of the GSCC, will be our featured speaker: Katherine has served on the board of the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals nationally and in Madison helps organize LGBT Books to Prisoners and the Wisconsin Transgender Health Coalition. Katherine is invested in information access and prison abolition and finds a center in working towards transformative relationships and liberatory community spaces.
