The Symantec Endpoint Protection (antivirus) software on your computer will be upgraded for computers that do not have the current version starting Monday, February 5, 2018. This upgrade will require a restart of your computer and you may receive a prompt if you are logged into the computer.
Although you have the option to delay the restart, a restart is unavoidable and will at some point become automatic. To avoid accidental loss of work, we recommend not delaying the restart. Instead, immediately save all work, close all applications, then click the Restart Now button.
PLEASE BE AWARE: If your computer is locked or not in use at the time it is upgraded, it will be restarted automatically. To avoid accidental loss of work, be sure to save your work and exit all applications before locking your computer.
Note: Virtual Machines (VM’s) are not impacted by this upgrade.
